Welcome to Congregation Yetev Lev Satmar Boro Park

Congregation Yetev Lev of Satmar traces its origins to the early 20th century when Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum established the Satmar Hasidic dynasty in Transylvania. Following the turmoil of World War II, Rabbi Teitelbaum relocated the community to New York, where it flourished into one of the largest and most influential Hasidic sects in the world.

Yetev Lev, under Rabbi Teitelbaum's leadership, prioritized preserving traditional Jewish values and culture while vehemently opposing modern secular influences. Today, the congregation continues to thrive, maintaining its dedication to strict adherence to religious traditions and serving as a cornerstone of the Satmar Hasidic community in Brooklyn and beyond.
